A custom “cleco” clamp for build Syzygryd cubes.

My main responsibility for the Syzygryd project was designing the metal cubes placed along its three arms. This consisted mostly of trying to come up with a manufacturing method that would allow them to be built accurately and quickly before the immovable project deadline.

I designed a custom clamp to hold the panels in alignment while they where riveted to their brackets.

This moved the precision into a smaller number of clamps allowing us to utilize lower precision brackets, greatly reducing the overall cost of assembly.
